Who is eligible to participate in ORP?  Homeless men who are indigent and at least 18 years old are eligible to participate in this program. Generally, participants are referred through a detoxification facility in the Metro Atlanta area. However, otherwise eligible men may contact the program directly to determine eligibility or for assistance in finding other appropriate treatment options.

What is the admission process?  Potential residents are interviewed by a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. The intake interview includes a comprehensive personal history addressing family, employment, housing, military service, substance use, medical, sexual and legal issues.

Is there a fee to be a resident at ORP?
No.  All of ORP’s services are provided at no charge to the residents.

What is required of ORP residents?  Residents sign a covenant to follow a code of conduct and work within the Levels system. They are expected to take responsibility for their recovery, housing and employment, to attend daily AA/NA meetings and to follow rules regarding outside contact, behavior, sobriety and group activities.
